Here lies the residue of "The Animating Apothecary," a source of obscure ephemera and thought, created fresh(ish), but now reduced to howling into the wind, sketching in sand, and nibbling at the crustier extremes of an overbaked society. How the Calendars Began....
I drew a series of cartoons for a coloring book that never "came to fruition" as they say in the trade. Not being one to throw things away, I put the first dozen drawings to use, and before you could say "1984" the first Uncle Stan Pharmacy Calendar was born.
